Yes, I know that it is a program on a rival channel, but I think that it has promise for demonstrating the growing of fruit and vegetables.
Those of you in the STV area can see short snippets about growing fruit and vegetables on some editions of "The Hour" which is on STV at 5pm. I am not sure if there will be regular days for the allotment garden.
As the area used for making the programs is in the old walled garden at Pollock House in Pollock Park in Glasgow, you will have free access any day to see the progress of the planting.
For many years, the old walled gardens have been demonstration gardens for the growing of fruit and vegetables, run by the Council Parks department, and I think that the work will still be done by their experienced gardeners.
