  Just had to share this from our visit to the Gardener's World Live Show yesterday.
  
  We were looking for a certain plant and after fruitless searching saw someone with 'said plant' in their trolley. We politely asked them which stall they got it from. Here is the reply....
  
  'Go into the flower marquee through the door and they are on a stall next to a flower stall.'
  
  Hmmm......o...kay.......and off we went after saying many thanks for your help!
  
  On entering the flower marquee we spied a kindly looking gent with 'said plant' in his trolley also and we approached him. He was very helpful and led us through a maize of flower stalls to the exact point where we found 'said plant'.
  
  Don't you just love a happy ending?????

  The plant is commonly known as a Parrot Plant - latin name - Impatiens niamniamensis.
  
  The flowers on it look like miniature parrots.

  one of my colleagues at work had one of these a few years back. she managed to keep it alive for a few weeks although she's not very good with plants. unfortunately, she put it outside throughout the summer then promptly forgot to bring it back in again. of course it sadly died.
  i've never seen them for sale anywhere down here (S.Wales) but they are very pretty and unusual.
  Hope your lasts longer than hers did.

  I have had several of these plants and grown many cuttings on and given them away. The last one which i had until hast year i had for about 10 years. If you treat them just like busy lizzies and cut side shoots off when the plant gets old you can keep replacing them.
