The last line of the article in the Daily Mail about Monty's return paraphrases Gill Tierney's comments by saying "her team would 'refocus' the format and cut half an hour from the show". REALLY ??!!

PLEASE keep the hour-long format. I don't think anyone's attention span just halved so please don't dumb this show down any further.

If Monty isn't up for an hour a week then figure out a different solution, but don't cut the show in half.

There is a world of material out there.

The programme a lot of people want to see is the return to the classic approach - a magazine format of segments dealing with seasonal gardening topics, articles on particular plant species, topical articles (eg, organic topics, use of peat etc etc), tours of brilliant gardens - in the UK and abroad. It's not hard to think of material if you really love the subject!

I may be wrong but I thought that, traditionally, GW was a half hour programme ( 8.30 - 9pm) and it was only the "specials" which were an hour :/

No, please, retain the 30 minutes format.

The programme must be repeated - ideally on Ö÷²¥´óÐã 1 on Sunday afternoon (why on earth is EASTENDERS repeated on Sunday when it is repeated on Ö÷²¥´óÐã 3 at 10:00PM on the day of original broadcast?) Perhaps, the new Ö÷²¥´óÐã 1 Controller will re-vamp tedious Sunday TV schedules and bring a gardening programme in?

I would be grateful just to have the programme on a Friday night!
We get it ditched here in favour of Scrum 5, which I find hugely irritating, as Friday night was always GW.
I'm sure there are more gardeners in Wales than Rugby fans.
Unfortunately, they are thick on the ground in Ö÷²¥´óÐã Wales.
We get it tucked away some where on Saturday and I almost always miss it.!!
