    Hello,

This site was a sports playing field and taken over by the beeb as a virgin new area for a bright new beginning in planning garden layout with no curtailment of owners interest and restrictions in place.

Surely they are going back the way in tying themselves to a presenters home garden with all the constraints that this holds.

Monty has gone to heaven with this arrangement and has the fork firmly in his palm for all future conditions, involving finance and structure layout.

The future is Rosie for Monty and family for many years with all the benefits of this arrangement.

    What future does Greenacre have?

Surely the Beeb could finance a programme to run along side G.W. and let this site mature and include an allotment section into the future planning.

Give Toby and Alys the scope with others involved in allotments to progress the hard work that has been done.

The Beeb are making a mistake with this going back. The constraints that will be put in place may come back to bite them.

I enjoyed Monty first time around and he will be enjoy by all on his return.

Hears hoping that all goes well for future years and Monty keeps well.

    Manurescot.

Part of this post is a question I have previously asked. I am looking forward to the next season of GW with Monty, however the Ö÷²¥´óÐã have paid, I am sure, a great deal of money to set up this garden in King's Heath and now what? This is a very expensive project and I am most interested to know just what will happen to this garden now. Do the Ö÷²¥´óÐã own the area, or is it rented? I do feel that all who watch TV have put money into this project and it would be nice to know. Perhaps it may be opened to the public as a small park, turned into allotments or community gardens, whatever happens I do hope that we the licence payers will be told.

As far as I know the land that Greenacres was built on is leased and the Ö÷²¥´óÐã have no intention of going back there which is a very big waste in my eyes.
A lot of time, effort and licence payers money has gone into it and it's a crying shame it won't be used again by the Ö÷²¥´óÐã.
Hopefully though the land can be leased to local residents to be used as a communal garden, growing veg/fruit,allotments (but I won't be holding my breath)

    Good morning Carol53,

Thanks for you comments, good to see we are thinking on the same track.

Hope we receive some answers from those who control these decisions, soon.

I hope others are thinking along these lines, we do not want wasteful money spent on half finished projects that could be used by local residents to finish.

Hope you planning for next growing season.

    Manurescot.

Yes, I am up and planning! You can see the results at www.anenglishcottangeonline.com and then you will see why I would like to know if any of the plants in King's Heath are up for grabs!!!

I did like this suggestion from Manurescot, I'm sure there are lots of people out there who would be willing to give their services for free in what ever capacity, so it wouldn't be expensive to produce.

I'd definitely be up for it. (probably only as tea boy ) but I'm willing and able.
