As long term watchers of GW we were very sad to see Toby leave, but equally sad when Monty had to leave a couple of years ago. Of course it's difficult to please everybody all of the time and let's face it half an hour is just too short to get into any depth.
So the new series started in Monty's beautiful garden. Fine for folks with established gardens. What about those who have inherited an overgrown one, new one or just a boring one?
As for Rachel, well! We know it's early days but come on, visiting gardens and helping out; pretty good pay I expect for a helper?
Carol. Well Carol is Carol and as enthusiastic as ever, but again it's all well and good to look at beautiful gardens but surely there could be more detail; why not let the Head Gardener do the talking?
The jury is out at the moment but we both feel that we will sadly give up watching soon. As fairly experienced and productive gardeners ourselves who tend a very large plot we still feel we have plenty to learn and obviously GW is not going to supply this information. We shall be looking elsewhere.
