Short in planting space, my front garden offers more of a mini bar in nectar bar status due to it doubling up as a car parking area. That just makes it more of a challenge though.

I’m thrilled to be seeing late butterflies stop by for a tipple – see photos in my current blog post . In a small area, it’s definitely worth grouping plants together to attract passing butterflies – just keep an eye on the time if you go out to take photos of your diners.

Being in Perthshire, Scotland my young Buddleja is current in flower. I have sedums just beginning to open their flowers and verbena bonariensis offering a few flowers too. I’m hoping to attract more species of butterflies however the weather isn’t cooperating in my plight.

Anyone else trying to attract butterflies just now?
