Are these hieroglyphs really of aircraft, or are they just symbols being misinterpreted as others suggest:
Wow ! Where does that come from ???
I mean, these are not hieroglyphs from Dynastic period. Actually are they Egyptians ? Where are they from ?

I would say they are probably fake. It's very easy to tamper with an image like this and it just doesn't seem convincing to me.
I agree. Specially when you see the website...
Seems the kind to predict the end of the world for 2000 !
I noticed that this site was referenced on the Pyramids thread as well. Makes you wonder on source reliance in these debates. No offence to the lady in question, but I have difficulty in accepting "Ellie Crystal's Metaphysical and Science Website" as a reputable source of information. Call me old fashion, but I still like peer review as a system over web-design abilities.
Elistan
they are indeed symbols
they are indeed symbolsÂ
Oh, right then. Glad that's sorted. Can't argue against that.
maybe their ancient ufo things!!!

it reminds me of one of those Afghan 'war rug' the symbols look too much like aircraft...there is another image and something here about the Hieroglyphs being an obvious fake:

I know an archeoligist and I showed them. It is not of aircraft at all, it is part of a pharoh's book of the dead.

hi all those images were recently on discovery knowlge aprogram called ancint discoveries they do excist i belive the program said they are at the temple in thebes karnak they also showed on the program ancient desighn of cars and many other things dunno how to do links yet lol but hope that helped .
Yeah its a nice theory but they are definitely not aeroplanes! The top right hand one which admittedly looks like a zeppelin is a hand which is phonetically translated as 'd'. The bottom right one is a hand sometimes phonetic 'di' or 'rdi' (as far as I remember!). The other two ive no idea but it looks like the image has been stretched a bit to make it look like they are aeroplanes of some sort...

If the Ancient Egyptians had aircraft, where are the papyri complaining about delays and cancellations? Where is the record of rooftop protesters opposed to the new Great Pyramid runway?
i've seen this before, its a photoshop job, nothing more or less
Must be true if its been on TV. So if the Egyptians had cars and planes can anyone explain why they insisted on using chariots to get around and where they got the fuel from to drive the internal combustion engines they had clearly developed?
I suppose it is possible that these wonderful vehicles were made of some insubstantial material such as wood which has not survived over the ages (although some Egyptian papyri have survived thanks to the desert climate), but it seems strange that when archaeologists have found the remains of metal implements such as weapons and jewellery, nobody has yet found the remains of one of these cars or planes which must have been substantially bigger and presumably used by the wealthy Egyptians. Perhaps they were too important to be buried as grave goods? Of course, it is always possible the archaeologists have been looking in the wrong place. After all, Cambyses lost a whole army in the desert.
The other alternative, that they represent extra-terrestrial vehicles is possibly the least far fetched of them all but presupposes that the ETs, having been happy to be seen by ancient Egyptians, have since been very elusive and are keeping their distance for some reason. To me this seems a peculiar attitude given their propensity for showing the Egyptians how to build pyramids and revealing to Von Daniken how to earn a lot of money from the gullible public.
Applying Occam's Razor would suggest that they are symbols either with some meaning or just abstract design..
Gosh, so they had oil fuel too! No wonder they kicked out the slaves. I guess those structures at the side of the relief were ancient petrol pumps. Must have run out of oil and their civilisation ended; makes sense.
The most common explanation is that the unusual aircraft shapes are the product of over-carving:
When you can see the various glyphs superimposed over one another this explanation appears to make sense.
Hieru, thats what i beleive.
iv read somewhere that they started of as normal glyphs, but under diffrent pharohs they were added to. this was to change the meaning of glyphs and by miracle just happens to look like aircrafts.

Hello Ö÷²¥´óÐã-AA list Members,
Happy new Year.
The picture we see via the link in the first message of this thread is fake because it shows different patterns of shade and shadow.

But the last picture in the first link of Message 20 looks real, I did not see it before; and it seems that was done by unskilled worker from later period, or as a kind of vandalism.
