Ok, that's a big one but I think there is a few reasonnable and intelligent people here to try a challenge like this one...

    Where did everything begin ?
If it is in Africa, where would be the best place to look for clues of the past ?
    Where did it started all

Any ideas ? Any serious suggestions ?
(no meatball god or spaghetti alien on here Elistan! )

    To put it very briefly,

Genotyping has revealed a great deal about mankind's early history, particularly in revealing early migrations from East Africa, where it is believed that humans originally evolved from. The migration trail goes up through North East Africa, and also across the Straits of Gibraltar into Southern Europe. Then if I remember correctly, (apologies, I am working on memory here) eastwards into Asia, and then south through Malaysia and into Australasia.

There are incredible genetic similarities between indigenous people in East Africa and certain parts of Indonesia for example, and they even look very similar, despite being an isolated population for hundreds of thousands of years! Although the genetic evidence can only really be seen in indigenous populations, and in the age of global migration which we live in, this evidence is harder and harder to collect, but it is pretty conclusive.

However, if we have to throw a religious element in, I'm with Elistan- may the Noodly Appendages of the Flying Speghetti Monster always be with you!!! smiley - laugh

    Cheers
    DL

When you talk about the beginning of the world, I suppose you mean the birthplace of Homo Sapiens, isn't it? Because, for example the birthplace of Homo Neaderdal was most probably in Europe somewhere.

Now, what theories try to establish they do so based on the findings and on the associated dates. Hence, since we find human-related remains all over the world but then these of Africa are older, hence we presume that the hominoids developed in Africa. However using this logic nobody gives us a guarantee that there is no human remain in say Siberia somewhere hidden that waits to be found and if it is found and dated and gives a date earlier to that of African datings then what? We will have to form a theory that hominoids started from Siberia then descended through Asia to Africa (so people will start searching in Asia then!).

Do not forget that the 'out of Africa' theory now ironically strongly supported by Africanocentrics was actually formed by 19th century professors of racism (not with the modern term though) who sometimes innocently sometimes deliberately suggested that modern negroid are more similar to apes than other races (though mediterranean people have more body hair than negroids and despite the fact that apes have all white skin underneath their hair), thus they are closer to to the 'missing links' between humans and apes, hence they started searching for missing links in Africa and yes they have found some like the famous 'Lucy'. Nontheless, if they considered chinese to be closer to apes then who says they would not have found missing links there also.

After all it is well known that the homo Erectus had habitated all the places in the world apart America (that was first habitated by Sapiens some 15,000 years ago).Erectus is the common ancestor of Sapiens and Neaderdal plus of some other branches like the nano-Erectus of Indonesia that disappeared relatively recently - local people have still stories about them and some say that it might exist till today somewhere which is fascinating!). Some even claimed that since Erectus was so mobile around the world he must have 'given' way to Sapieans concurrently in a vast geographic area, thus the modern generic human races derive actually from the various races of homo erectus that must have existed.

However, modern theories tend to support the out of Africa movement not only for Homo Sapiens but also for Homo Erectus since most of the findings end to support that idea, which is not irrational afterall. In anyway, apes and hominoids always preferred hotter climates and could only habitate colder ones only after having found smart ways, like killing animals to take their fur, to cover their natural nakedness to cold.
