Mike's BIG questions:What was your first radio memory?Sitting in the garden when I was very young, with a dictaphone, pretending to record my own show! How did you first get into radio?Purely by coincidence! Ollie and I were invited onto John Hayes & Etholle George's breakfast show in June '07 for an interview regarding our strong involvement with the music scene in Southend. Gerald Main, the station's Managing Editor, happened to be listening to the show and liked how we sounded, so phoned into the show and offered us a job live on air! What is your favourite song ever?I don't have a favourite. It's impossible to put my finger on one, but at the moment it's the unsigned band 'Vinny Vinny' from Southend, with "Should've let me go". What one thing makes Essex so special?I don't think I could say anything other than its amazing music culture. It is thriving with venues, bands, musicians - and many many talented ones at that - and I think those who are part of it should be proud!
