Scottish balladeer poised to charm

Highland troubadour Rachel Sermanni has been casting spells across the country with her beautifully crafted folk-noir. The Scottish singer has supported Mumford & Sons, Michael Kiwanuka and Elvis Costello winning over audiences with her range of captivating ballads.

Guy Garvey has described Rachel’s voice as ‘quite astonishing’ and the Elbow frontman isn’t wrong. Rachel mixes up fast flowing poetical verses, rousing choruses and and tender moments with ease and there more than a few excited fans ahead of her debut LP Under Mountains released in September.
