Angels and Airwaves have chosen not to be recorded for TV or Online at Reading + Leeds 2012
Angels and Airwaves are a supergroup of modern rock, led by Blink-182 guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLonge, currently alongside David Kennedy (Over My Dead Body), bassist Matt Wachter (30 Seconds to Mars) and drummer Ilan Rubin (Nine Inch Nails).
With 5 albums and a film score under their belt, plus many in the pipeline, the group see themselves as less of a band and more of a multimedia project, with an emphasis on keeping fans at the centre of the action. This will be their first time back at Reading + Leeds since 2007, where the influence of Pink Floyd and U2 can clearly be heard in searching vocals and slowly building guitar riffs.
