Rachmaninov鈥檚 choral symphony The Bells is a spectacular musical statement for large-scale forces. Soloists Natalya Romaniw and Oleg Dolgov join Tadaaki Otaka and 主播大秀 NOW for a concert that also includes Borodin鈥檚 vivacious Polovtsian Dances.

About This Event

Sleigh bells, wedding bells, warning bells and mourning bells all peal through Rachmaninov鈥檚 choral symphony The Bells 鈥� which sets a text by Edgar Allan Poe with broad brushstrokes and bright colours.

Borodin鈥檚 exotically seductive Polovtsian Dances also features, alongside a world premiere by Huw Watkins inspired by the 50th anniversary of the first manned mission to the Moon.
