Geneva鈥檚 Orchestre de la Suisse Romande celebrates its 100th anniversary with its Proms debut. Renaud Capu莽on is the soloist in Ravel鈥檚 Second Violin Sonata. Stravinsky鈥檚 colourful ballet Petrushka and Debussy鈥檚 Jeux complete this colourful programme.

Geneva鈥檚 renowned Orchestre de la Suisse Romande celebrates its 100th anniversary by making its Proms debut under its English Music Director Jonathan Nott.

The orchestra continues this season鈥檚 strand of French music with works by Debussy and Ravel 鈥� the mercurial dance-fantasy Jeux, Debussy鈥檚 last orchestral work, and a new orchestration of Ravel鈥檚 jazz-infused Second Violin Sonata with soloist Renaud Capu莽on 鈥� as well as a Russian piece synonymous with Paris: Stravinsky鈥檚 colourful folk-ballet Petrushka, heard here in its original version.
