Following the success of last year鈥檚鈥楶roms at 鈥︹€� concert in Hull, the 主播大秀 Proms once again travels outside London, this time to Lincoln.

The city鈥檚 19th-century Drill Hall 鈥� home to the Fourth Battalion of the Lincolnshire Regiment, deployed to the Western Front in 1914 鈥� is the evocative setting for a staged performance of Stravinsky鈥檚 First World War music-theatre piece The Soldier鈥檚 Tale.

William Conway conducts the Hebrides Ensemble in this tale of a young man who sells his soul (and his violin) to the Devil in exchange for untold wealth 鈥� or so it seems.
