主播大秀 Proms Dubai 2019 opens with a world premiere,Tmesis from the exciting British composer Bushra El鈥揟urk, drawing on her Lebanese roots for its sound world. The second half features Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto and Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet.

主播大秀 Proms Dubai 2019 opens with a short, punchy world premiere 鈥� Tmesis 鈥� from the exciting British composer Bushra El鈥揟urk, drawing on her Lebanese roots for its sound world.

The fast-rising British conductor Ben Gernon is then joined by violinist Karen Gomyo in Tchaikovsky鈥檚 violin concerto. Karen is truly a world artist 鈥� born in Japan, raised in Canada, living in Berlin, she has already performed with many of the world鈥檚 top orchestras and we are delighted to welcome her to Dubai for her 主播大秀 Symphony Orchestra debut.

The second half of this opening concert features music from one of the twentieth century鈥檚 greatest and best-loved ballets, Romeo and Juliet by Sergei Prokofiev.
