The Adventures of Pluto Nash DVD (2002)

Ever wondered what the DVD equivalent of a ghost town might look like? Navigating around "The Adventures of Pluto Nash" with its woeful lack of features is an eerily strange and solitary experience.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

Picture Seeing as the film cost $100m it should look good, and certainly the transfer to disc is razor sharp.

Sound The 5.1 mix is determined to act lively, even if Eddie Murphy doesn't seem so keen.

SPECIAL FEATURES

Making of the Music Video This is the main featurette on the DVD, so stay alert or you'll miss all the good stuff. Running at just over three minutes, this in-depth examination of the IMX music video includes an interview with the director. He feels that IMX have the energy to match the energy of the movie.

Meanwhile, IMX reveal that, "the song is about energy", and that, "it's very high energy". Indeed, so convinced are they about this they promise that, "we're putting a lot of energy into it".

Additional Scenes Four deleted scenes with no introduction. Presumably the director didn't have the energy to introduce them. In fact, will you have the energy to watch them?

Trailer There's a lot of energy about this trailer, which is of course for a movie filled with energy that in turn inspired a song that's all about energy.

Have we sapped your energy? No? Go buy the DVD then.
