ivans xtc DVD (2002)

Bernard Rose gets his own back on Hollywood with the hard-hitting "ivansxtc", which comes to DVD with extra footage.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

Picture Shot on high definition digital format, the quality of the picture transfer is reasonable, but not as sharp as one might expect. The handheld filming doesn't help matters when it comes to tight focus.

Sound The 2.0 sound mix is quite atmospheric, but has little to do apart from relay dialogue.

SPECIAL FEATURES

Extended Party Sequence There is quite a bit of footage here, and it should prove interesting to fans of the film as direction comments are included. It's strange to watch but the actors handle the scenes well, revelling in debauchery egged on by tittering girls.

Film Notes Yup, this is the only other real extra feature on this DVD. But then, perhaps the film says all that is needed of Bernard Rose's thoughts and intentions rather than a slew of pointless DVD extras.

Additional Extra Features Also on the DVD is a trailer for the film and a trailer reel for other Metro Tartan titles.
