The Lake House DVD (2006)

Twelve years after generating sparks in Speed, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock team up for meditative romance The Lake House. Unfortunately critics found the time-hopping premise (that the lovers live two years apart) "messily" constructed and it only caused a ripple at the box office. For Argentinean filmmaker Alejandro Agresti it was a less than convincing Hollywood debut.

Rising Damp

Aside from a theatrical trailer where Reeves gamely warns us, "This is insane!" there are only a few minutes' worth of additional footage to accompany the film on DVD. Mostly these are just bland snippets bridging one scene to another, eg Alex (Reeves) encountering brother Henry (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) at the hospital on a visit to see his father (Christopher Plummer) and his unceremonious dumping of Mona (Lynn Collins). In each case, of course, he wears exactly the same facial expression.

Poseidon DVD

The so-called 'outtakes' add up to just 18 seconds in which Christopher Plummer cracks a wise one about the director. It's a shallow pool of extras to say the least.
