Tsunami disaster

Charity donation cheque
Cheque that pushed the total past £40k

Bradders task appeal passes 拢40k

主播大秀 H&W presenter Dave Bradley has raised more than 拢40,000 for the tsunami appeal by having his famous moustache shaved off.

Tsunami

  • The tsunami was caused by an underwater earthquake off the coast of Indonesia.
  • It happened on Boxing Day.
  • The tsunami wave struck the coastline of countries including India, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Burma.
  • It also hit islands like Sri Lanka, Indonesia, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the Maldives.

It was a huge cheque (in every sense of the word,) brought into 主播大秀 Hereford and Worcester's Hylton Road office by Jane Nott from Roc,k that pushed Dave Bradley's (aka Bradders)听 tsunami appeal past its latest landmark.

The cheque was for over 拢1,400 and the appeal听 has now raised more than 拢40,000.

Bradders offered to shave off his 'tash if people pledge money for the tsunami appeal - hoping he could raise a couple of hundred pounds.

He's been utterly overwhelmed by the response.

"All sorts of donations have been coming in, from 拢500 to 拢5, and all gratefully received of course." he commented.

The shaving took place at the Worcester Warriors rugby match against Leonesse.

Every penny of the money will be spent on Shelter Boxes.

These go out to the disaster areas and contain just about everything for a group of ten people to survive until permanent help reaches them.

The survival kits include a massive tent, water purification equipment, food, lighting, tools and a whole host of survival equipment.

They are put together by the Helston Rotary Club and cost almost 拢500 each.
