Help playing audio/video Established in 1997, Lockjaw Records is run by Jack Turner and two of his sons Sam and Ben, who are also in the successful band Tribute To Nothing. The family decided to start the Lockjaw after the Tribute To Nothing's label (Go! Discs) was closed by its parent company Polygram. Needing an outlet for their music they decided to start their own label, to bring out their own records, plus music from other bands that they liked. Specialising in punk bands, the label has a roster of about a dozen artists, hailing from Herefordshire, Worcestershire and beyond. Big Mistake!The label is well regarded in the industry, and one of their claims to fame is that they released the first ever recordings by Muse. They were then offered Muse's first single, but amazingly turned it down! In their own words, "Big mistake or what!" Lockjaw Records also have their own state of the art studio in the Cotswolds called The Waiting Room, where bands signed to the label can record.
