Crystal Rooms! Did you know that before Franklin Barnes started there, that it had been a theatre? During the 1960s I worked at Wilson's supply stores, on the corner of King Street and Bridge Street. It was a family grocers. The head being "Harold Wilson", not THE Harod Wilson of course. We teased him about this.His wife Nell, their Son John, who is a retired postman now and lives in Ledbury Road. Nell's brother Joe and his wife Alice.I remember Joe telling me that when he was a child he used to play in the old building which had been a theatre, I think he said it was originally called The Playhouse, but I could be wrong. He used to shoot his catapult, from the balcon, at rats on the stage.

The front has been restored to its original glory of the 1930's Art Deco. it is still there and for all of us today will always be the Crystal rooms. or if you are a bit older the Crystal ROOM when it was a cabaret club!!!

Saw pete wardman twice there. can't remember any carpets but an amazing intimate venue with top tuneage and girls ;) a night out all the way from london was well worth it

crystal rooms was the best night out on a friday and I have many amazing memories from it.Gangs of us would travel from ebbw vale and all the neighbouring valleys.Im gutted looking at the pictures of it now

As a supply trainee at raf hereford from Aug 90 - Dec 90, The crystal rooms remains in my memories. What good nights were spent there.

crystal rooms has given me the best night out for me and my friends and somewere we have lots of pics we all look thorw we've neaver found another place with such a buzzing atmospher and we miss the club

The Crystal Rooms was the best club in Hereford by far. The worst thing that could ever happen to Hereford's night life happened when they closed it down. The other clubs arnt half as good and dont give the same experience that made the Rooms the best place to spend your weekend nights!!

Me and my friends and husband spent the best of 4 years going to the rooms on a friday night it was the best night club in town.

Between 1997- 2001 Myself and my friends would spend every Friday Night at the rooms we would Travel over 50 miles to get there and we would not miss it for the world. We knew all the regulars. The atmosphere in the club was excellent and the different D.J's that played there always new how to bang out the tune's. Cannot believe its gone forever!!! Gutted. My memories will live on forever. The best times of my life.

I had some absolute blinding nights at the rooms on a friday night. Seen some legends there such as Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold and the late Tony De Vit. It really is a shame to see it go.. Just what happened?

Ahh happy days in the 70's Just found an old vinyl autographed by Robert Young who we saw at Crystal Rooms. Robert Young you say? Who's he? How sad to see the place decaying.
