Why can't I find audio described versions of Silent Witness on iPlayer on my TV?

We are aware of an issue on the 主播大秀 iPlayer TV app where Silent Witness can't be accessed with audio description from the AD category. When it's selected from the category, an 'unavailable' message is shown.听

Unfortunately, we are unable to resolve this at the moment, however the AD version of the programme can be easily found听using the accessibility options on the episode playback page.

To switch to the audio described version of the programme:

  1. Search for Silent Witness, or select the programme from the homepage
  2. Select the episode you'd like to watch (AD is available from Series 17)
  3. On the playback screen, select听the Subtitles & Settings听menu听(speech bubble icon on the top left)
  4. Select 'Audio described'
