I know live in the States and still follow City via the internet and cable TV. Strange feelings linger as I saw the pictures of the old stomping grounds being demolished. My dad helped build several sections of Maine Rd and when I go back and visit him he still talks about what a shame it was to see it go down. We went to the new stadium last year and he agreed it was the right move for all involved with the club, players, fans, and citizens alike.

It makes me sick! All this gooey nostalgia over a club who only really cares about it's profit margins and making money from it's fans. It's a business - look at the price of football tickets and merchandise these days. There are kids going hungry just so people can feed their football habit.

great times sadly you'll never get back the uneak atmosphere that maine road moss side had

As a Leeds United fan (a young one) I can remember some BRILLIANT times that our team had at Maine Road and I can say that seeing the pictures brought a tear to my eye... It's the end of a footballing era, much as when they demolished Wembley... It's been good times and everyone will be OK.

I feel that everyone who mad comments really and truly missed the stadium and it was very heart warming. I hope that they make some kind of memory to the stadium and a tribute to Manchester City instead of just building some business complex or something useless.

Carole
Although sad ,the comments by residents missing everyone is very touching.
