Over eight grueling weeks and facing stiff competition from the nine other contestants - plus a nail-biting two course cook-off - Pippa was named the winner of Britain’s Best 主播大秀 Cook by judges Mary Berry, Chris Bavin and Dan Doherty.

As she fought back tears, an emotional Pippa, from Salford, Manchester, said: “I honestly can’t believe it. I don’t know how this happened. I never thought I could win this, and I’m only here because of my boyfriend Christian, and it means a lot because he believed in me and I didn’t believe in myself. I’m really proud of myself.”

The judges congratulated Pippa on her win, and the quality of the cooking.

Chris Bavin said: “From day one she was an incredibly talented cook, and she’s developed and improved, and for me she’s an absolute deserved winner.”

Speaking about Pippa’s win, Dan Doherty said: “It’s an incredible achievement. She’s come here with her own unique style, but she’s adapted to other challenges and other styles.”

Head judge Mary Berry said: “It’s been a joy watching Pippa. She is a true home cook. She enjoys what she does and she just goes the extra mile.”

Talking to Pippa after the win, Mary added: “I think you’re an inspiration to all cooks at home. And that boyfriend of yours is very lucky!”

Pippa battled her way through to the final week with the two other talented finalists, Dipa Jakhu (44) and Philip Friend (48), as they each showed the judges their culinary prowess, passion and expertise.

The final task was to prepare a two-course ultimate dinner for judges Mary Berry, Chris Bavin and Dan Doherty. Pippa’s winning menu was an Ox cheek Massaman curry with jasmine rice, grilled prawns and a Thai herb salad, followed by a Mary Berry inspired Mango and Raspberry cake. The results from the final day were added to the three course challenge the contestants made earlier, before the judges chose a winner.

Pippa was taught to cook by her grandma who made really homely food. Her grandad used to take her to a dim sum restaurant with a Chinese supermarket underneath and that was how her love of cooking, particularly Asian food, started.
