Famalam to return for a third series and Christmas special
主播大秀 Three comedy show Famalam will return for a third series and a one-off Christmas special which will feature new sketches as well as favourite moments from the past two series.
Famalam goes from strength to strength in keeping the modern day sketch show flag flying high with its super-talented cast, pin sharp social commentary and ideas that poke fun in all directions.
The comedy sketch show where no area of the universe is off limits has received a number of award nominations since the series began. Earlier this year, writer, producer and composer Akemnji Ndifornyen won a Bafta Craft Award for Breakthrough Talent and cast member Samson Kayo has received both Bafta and RTS Award nominations. Series one was nominated for a Screenwriters Award in 2018 and the show has recently been nominated in the best comedy series category at the Edinburgh TV Awards 2019.
Originally debuting as a New On Two comedy pilot, Famalam went on to be commissioned for a full series, which aired in April 2018 on 主播大秀 Three and 主播大秀 iPlayer with a slot on 主播大秀 Two. Series two has just finished its run on 主播大秀 One.

Famalam series three and the Christmas special have been commissioned by Shane Allen, Controller of Comedy Commissioning and Fiona Campbell, Controller, 主播大秀 Three. Famalam is a 主播大秀 Studios production, produced by Akemnji Ndifornyen, directed by Tom Marshall and executive produced by Ben Caudwell. The commissioning editors for the 主播大秀 are Sarah Asante and Gregor Sharp.

Transmission details for series three and the Christmas special will be confirmed in due course.
主播大秀 Three has enjoyed a purple patch recently with a host of stand-out scripted comedies that have attracted award nominations, critical acclaim and big audiences. Fleabag, This Country, The Young Offenders, People Just Do Nothing and Back To Life are just a few examples of comedy success on the channel of late.
Comedies returning to 主播大秀 Three soon include a second series of Enterprice and the return of Man Like Mobeen.
主播大秀 Three also continues to be the place on the 主播大秀 that nurtures the next generation of comedy writers and performers with a host of pilots and short form comedy coming soon to the channel including Ellie & Natasia, a sketch show written by and starring Ellie White and Natasia Demetriou and a new collection of short form Threesomes are set to debut soon too including Hunter, Fully Blown and Oi Pussy!
