Fit and Fearless is your one stop shop for all things feel-good, presented by three friends on a mission. Victoria Spence, Zanna Van Dijk and Tally Rye started the #GirlGains movement, an Instagram fitness community designed to bring together anyone with a love of health and happiness, looking to get inspired. The Tripod

主播大秀 Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin and former international triathlete Annie Emerson host The Tripod, a podcast collaboration between 主播大秀 Sport and 主播大秀 Radio Manchester, available on 主播大秀 Sounds.

The Tripod breaks down the mental and physical barriers preventing people from getting into triathlon. Over nine episodes, Louise and Annie mentor and coach three beginner triathletes: Deborah James, presenter of 主播大秀 Radio 5 live podcast You, Me And The Big C, 主播大秀 Radio 2’s Jo Whiley and Lloyd Davies from Bath who applied to take part via 主播大秀 Get Inspired. In June, Jo will be competing in the Blenheim Triathlon while Deborah and Lloyd take part in World Triathlon Leeds.

Over the course of the series, Louise and Annie introduce Deborah, Jo and Lloyd to a range of experts, including Rebecca Adlington, Kerianne Payne, Sir Chris Hoy, Lucy Gossage, Vicky Holland, Steve Cram and Allison Curbishley, to help them on their triathlon challenge. They also answer listener questions and discuss a range of topics from nutrition to the benefits of triathlon on mental health.

The 5 live Football Daily podcast offers updates and analysis, from inside the Women’s England and Scotland camps during the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The Test Match Special podcast will bring insight from the Women’s Ashes where the team will be joined by special guests for post-match interviews and analysis.

Anniversary Games
20-21 July

As a legacy to the London 2012 Olympic Games, viewers can expect to see some of the biggest names in track and field including three-time European champion, Dina Asher-Smith who will be looking to lay down a marker before the World Championships.
Gabby Logan will be joined by some of the best in athletics to provide insight and analysis, as she leads the TV coverage of the 2019 Anniversary Games from the Olympic Stadium.

Women’s British Open
1-4 August

The 2019 Women’s British Open takes place from 1-4 August at Woburn Golf Club in Bedfordshire where reigning champion Georgia Hall will be looking to defend her title.

Golf correspondent Iain Carter will bring regular updates from Woburn to 主播大秀 Radio 5 live listeners throughout the tournament, and the 主播大秀 Sport website is to feature daily updates and analysis.

A dedicated episode of The Cut, the 主播大秀’s golf podcast on 主播大秀 Sounds, will round up the action at the conclusion of the competition, as well as bringing interviews with the winner and runners up.

Solheim Cup
13-15 September

The Solheim Cup tees off at Gleneagles on 13 September, as Team Europe, led by Scotland’s Catriona Matthew, attempt to regain the trophy from Team USA, captained by Juli Inkster.

World Athletics Championships: Doha
28 September - 6 October

As the World Athletics Championships begin in Doha, Qatar, the 主播大秀 will bring first class coverage across TV, radio and online.

Gabby Logan leads the TV coverage joined by Jeanette Kwayke, Paula Radcliffe, Denise Lewis and Jessica Ennis-Hill as British trio Dina Asher-Smith, Katarina Johnson-Thompson and Laura Muir look to strike World Championship gold.

This series will celebrate female sporting icons who have transcended sport, overcome adversity, broken down barriers and inspired other women in the process. We will feature sporting greats such as Serena Williams and Simone Biles.

Spoken word artist Deanna Rodger reinterprets and appropriates Kipling’s IF for the modern day woman. This creative sequence will be used within sport editorial across the Change The Game Season. There will be five versions made available for outlets - women’s sport, football, netball, tennis and athletics.

The Friday Sports Panel: Women’s Sport Special

Eleanor Oldroyd presents a special edition of The Friday Sports Panel on 主播大秀 Radio 5 live on May 24. This special programme brings together some of the biggest names in women’s sport as England Netball coach Tracey Neville, Paralympian Lauren Steadman and double Olympic champion, Dame Kelly Holmes are joined by around 30 other sportswomen, coaches and stakeholders for the UK’s biggest conversation about women’s sport today.
