The Walker-Kings from Wandsworth in London believe their food is the best, especially when it comes to cooking from scratch. Sheena is especially proud of her salmon BBQ dish, with its romantic secret sauce.

They are a fiery family and will happily tell each other the honest and sometimes brutal truth about each other’s cooking, but they have an undeniable family bond. Tony thinks it could get shirty in the kitchen. The Walker-Kings have a Caribbean background and they are not afraid to experiment with different flavours; they like to entertain and share their food with their extended family.

Sisters Simone and Sheela grew up in South West London with dad Tony, who remembers his parents cooking an array of Caribbean dishes including curried goat, which is now Tony’s speciality. Sheena refers to herself as a 'romantic cook' and is often cooking rich, flavourful dishes. Simone likes cooking comfort style food and believes in cooking with love. She has recently been working with vulnerable adults, and teaches cooking prep skills and the nutritional value of food, which has re-ignited her love of cooking.

Tommy Banks

Born and raised in Oldstead, North Yorkshire, into a family of farmers, chef Tommy Banks’s passion for food and nature flourished from a young age.

Tommy’s family bought The Black Swan just as he finished school and he started working there with no real intention of becoming a chef, but by 2013, at the age of 24, Tommy was awarded a Michelin Star - making him the youngest Michelin-starred chef in Britain at the time.
