There will be a range of new commissions and returning series made by production companies from around the UK.

Alison Kirkham, Controller, Factual Commissioning, says: "I am delighted to announce such a wealth of programming, celebrating a vibrant production supply base across the UK. These titles represent a mixture of revealing specialist factual, great on-screen talent and access docs, as well as some of our most popular returners. I’m incredibly proud of the range of the producers we are working with right across all of the Nations and Regions.”

Highlights from Bristol based producers include a new series with Nadiya Hussain (pictured in Thailand) on an Asian Odyssey to explore her heritage; a follow-up film from Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall as he continues his drive to tackle obesity in Britain’s Fat Fight; and The Truth About Antibiotics. There is a second series of the critically acclaimed Without Limits to accompany the 2018 Invictus Games in Sydney; and the return of regulars Shop Well For Less and Eat Well For Less.

From Scotland, we will see some remarkable surgery on the planet’s big animals witnessed by Liz Bonnin in Big Animal Surgery; see the return of Big Questions and favourites Trust Me I’m A Doctor; and follow Gordon Buchanan’s Bringing Up Grizzly, an emotional tale about the return of orphaned bear cubs to the wild.

Productions from Wales include Fred Sirieix experiencing Extraordinary Places To Eat around the globe with some of the country’s favourite chefs. And the next series of Great British Menu will come from its new home in Birmingham.

From Northern Ireland, we will document the lives of Mountain Vets for 主播大秀 Two, as well as the return of Digging For Britain on 主播大秀 Four. And in Manchester/Salford, Avanti/Nine Lives have been re-commissioned to produce another series of Songs Of Praise, after successfully winning the tender in 2017.

This forms part of the 主播大秀’s drive to increase the volume of productions made outside of London and to work with the sector to strengthen sustainability and skills across the UK.
