Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2019 kicks off with a night of incredible dance music live from Stewart Park in Middlesbrough.

Radio 1 DJs Annie Mac and Danny Howard will be hosting from The 1 For New Music stage, where some of the biggest names in dance music will perform to a crowd of 6,000 music fans.

The night will feature sets from Mark Ronson, MK, and Purple Disco Machine, while Wilkinson, Sub Focus and Dimension will be taking to the stage as a super group for one night only.

Now in its 16th year, Radio 1’s Big Weekend kicks off the UK’s festival season, as well as taking artists to the cities that may not otherwise host a large scale event like Big Weekend, shining a light on the host city and providing a major boost to the local economy.

As well as listening live or on demand on Radio 1 and 主播大秀 Sounds, the show will also be available to watch live on Radio 1’s iPlayer channel
