Glasto and heavy metal aren't meant to mix - Metallica and Motörhead's shout-a-long, crowd-pleasing sets being notable exceptions. But this year, Glasto went all-in, with Michael Eavis inviting some of the HEAVIEST, FASTEST and LOUDEST bands on the planet to burst everyone's eardrums.
The invitees include Napalm Death (who hold the world record for the shortest-ever song - ); Extreme Noise Terror - whose name handily tells you what their music sounds like; and the great Ho99o9, whose name we think is pronounced Horror but might just be badly spelt.
But what's the journey been like for the bands? We've followed them every step of the way.
1. On Wednesday, Napalm Death's frontman went into Radio 2 to hilariously teach Ed Miliband how to sing
Well... he tried to teach him! Barney told Ed why Napalm Death are perfect for Glasto: "The band is very sonically violent, but actually the ethos behind it is about humanity, equality, tolerance." Just don't ask them to dress like hippies.
After the appearance, streams of Napalm Death tracks jumped over 200%. Ed is .
2. Napalm Death then headed to Glasto and seemed happy to be pioneers in the fields

The legendary 主播大秀 Radio 1 DJ used to love playing grindcore tracks on his influential show - dropping them alongside reggae or grime tunes, or after some hot dance music. So if the scenes above haven't convinced you to check out some grindcore, we should finish this article with himself trying to explain the genre's appeal.
