Best time to visit:

May is one of best times to visit Culzean.

Bird watching - arrive early for the dawn chorus - from 4.30am.

Wild flowers - Spring is a great time to see the Snowdrops, Daffodils and Bluebells.

Ìý

Keep up-to-date with wildlife sightings by reading the Wildlife Notes at the Visitor Centre and the Aviary - these are regularly updated by the Rangers and provide a good guide for nature spotters.

Picnic areas. Coffee shop. Restaurant.

Binoculars for bird watching. Small audio recorder to record bird song.

Nature watching:

Nature watching. Marked woodland walks including the Deer Park and Cliff Walks. Camelia House. Walled garden and Victorian vinery.

Access:Disabled parking at visitor centre and Deer Park.
Wheelchair access to some parts of gardens and Country Park. Toilets. Manual wheelchairs can be booked in advance. Tapping rails on some paths. Induction loop in auditorium.
Getting there:

On the A719, 12 miles south of Ayr. Located four miles west of Maybole. Rail - Maybole station (four miles).

Opening times:

The Country Park is open all year daily. The Castle and Garden are open daily between April to end October between 10.30am-5pm.

Charges:

Entry charge varies depending on facilities visited, but ranges from £3-£12 for adults and £2-£8 for concessions. Family tickets available.
