Feather Boy

Thomas Sangster plays Robert in Feather BoyAdapted from Nicky Singer's award-winning children's book, Feather Boy tells the tale of Robert Nobel, otherwise known as Norbert No-Bottle, a child who despairs of his newly divorced parents.

He is the butt of classroom jokes and a victim of Niker, the classroom bully. He is also hopelessly in love with Kate Barber.

He is haunted by dreams that seem to tell the future as well as the past.

His life changes when a storyteller invites some of the class to Mayfield House, a place that Robert has already dreamed about. There, he meets a spiky old lady called Edith Sorrel who chooses him as her partner in the Elders' Project.

Edith tells him to find a place called Chance House, and it's only by chance that Robert finds it, derelict and boarded up. He finds a way in but discovers that this 'empty' house is not empty at all.

Robert hears footsteps and the slamming of the door. Someone or something is with him in Chance House.

He doesn't know why he is there but he knows it is a journey he has to make. The course of events that follow will change their lives forever.

Sheila Hancock, Lindsey Coulson, Aaron Johnson and Thomas Sangster star. (KH)
