Johanna Baldwin
Venus
and Mars, a romantic comedy starring Robson Green and Holby
City's Tina Hobley, is to be transmitted in the second series of
the 主播大秀's Afternoon Plays in January 2004.
Johanna
Baldwin's feature script, Amy, is being produced by Anant Singh
for Alliance, with Reese Witherspoon attached to star.
Johanna
is also in development with Gareth Neame at 主播大秀 Films to write Silent
Partner.
Matthew
Parkhill
Matthew
Parkhill also directed his bittersweet romantic comedy Sons,
Daughters and Lovers, written for the
主播大秀's second series of The Afternoon Play.
Coming
Up For Air was aired in January 2003 on 主播大秀 ONE as part of the first
series of The Afternoon Play and the script earned Matthew a Best
New Talent Nomination at the Royal Television Society Midlands Awards
in October 2003.
Matthew's
first feature film as writer/director, Dot The I, was shot in 2002
through Arcane Pictures and Summit Entertainment. A romantic comedy
which twists into a Machiavellian thriller, it stars Gael Garc铆a
Bernal.
Pete
Lawson
Pete
Lawson's Drive is his first film for 主播大秀 Drama
Series. In 2002 Being April, a series starring Pauline Quirke, was
aired on 主播大秀 ONE and he has also written for 主播大秀 ONE's long running
series, Casualty.
He
has also written several stage plays. Currently Pete has work in
development with 主播大秀 Drama Series.
Damian
Fitzsimmons
Viva
Las Blackpool is Damian Fitzsimmons' first film for television.
Damian
gave up surfing and fine art to study film making in New York City,
where he worked as a grip for several years.
His
spiritual centre, however, was and still is the City of Liverpool
where he wrote his first screenplay, The Holy Land, now in development
with Ruby Films and the British Film Council.
At
present, Damian is working on his second screenplay, Dante's Song,
a surf epic, and has just written two episodes of Grease Monkeys
for 主播大秀 THREE.
Shan
Khan
Glasgow
Dreams is Shan Khan's first feature length film for television.
Shan
was winner of Soho Theatre's Verity Bargate Award 2000.
He
was also nominated for the Kodak Bafta Award for his short film,
Candy Bar Kid, which he wrote and directed, and received a Bafta
nomination for Best Short Film.
His
feature film Office is currently in development with Pipedream Pictures/Film
Four and he also has a pilot episode in development for a new 主播大秀
THREE drama series.
