主播大秀 Swahili brings FA Cup Final in Swahili for first time

Swahili-speaking audiences across East and Central Africa can now enjoy, for the first time in Swahili, special live coverage of the FA Cup Final between Arsenal and Manchester United on Saturday 21 May 2005.

主播大秀 Swahili presenters will provide full commentary and analysis of the whole match in Swahili, live from The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom.

Tido Mhando, Head of 主播大秀 Swahili, said: "The FA Cup final is very popular in the continent and many of the UK teams have legions of fans.

It will be an exciting and engaging opportunity for 主播大秀 Swahili to really connect with its audience and offer them the full excitement of the game in their own language."

Football fans can hear over three hours of coverage from 3.30pm Central African Time and 4.30pm East African Time.

The FA Cup Final kicks off at 4.00pm Central Africa Time and 5.00pm East African Time.

How to listen in Swahili:

In Burundi, listeners can hear FM broadcasts of the FA Cup Final nationwide on 105.6 FM in Swahili, and in Bujumbura on 90.2 FM in English.

In Rwanda, 主播大秀 Swahili will broadcast its coverage on the 主播大秀 relay in Kigali on 93.9 FM in Swahili.

In Kenya, the Swahili coverage of the FA Cup final will be available on the 主播大秀 in Mombasa on 93.9 FM, and on 主播大秀 World Service partner station Kameme FM in Nairobi, Nakuru, Nyeri and Meru.

In Tanzania, the Swahili coverage of the FA Cup final can be heard on the 主播大秀 relays, 94.1 FM in Zanzibar and 93.5 FM in Pemba.

Live coverage in Swahili can also be heard on 主播大秀 World Service partner stations: Radio Free Africa on 89.0 MHz in Arusha; 89.8 MHz in Mwanza; 88.2 MHz in Shinyanga; 88.8 MHz in Mbeya; 90.0 Mhz in Kigoma; 90.0 Mhz in Tabora; Radio One on 89.5 MHz in Dar es Salaam; 95.3 MHz in Arusha;100.8 MHz in Dodoma; 102.5 MHz in Mwanza; and on medium wave 1440 AM and 1323 AM; Sky FM in Dar Es Salaam on 101.4 Mhz; Radio 5 on 105 Mhz in Arusha.

主播大秀 World Service in English will also provide live commentary and updates of the FA Cup Final in its English language programme Sportsworld, which can be heard on FM radio throughout East Africa on 主播大秀 relay and partner stations.
