Krishan Arora, currently Senior Commissioning Executive in the Factual team, is to take on the role of Independent Executive for 主播大秀 Television.

Krishan began his TV career on the 主播大秀's trainee assistant producer scheme.
听
After directing documentaries for 主播大秀 and Channel 4 he went to Paris on a media scholarship before landing a job as programme executive in the documentary commissioning department of Arte - the European public channel in Strasbourg - working with independent producers around Europe.
听
Returning to London after four years in France, he joined Antelope Productions as producer before setting up his own fledgling indie in 1999.
听
In 2001 he rejoined the 主播大秀 as commissioning executive for independents in Specialist Factual and for the past four years has been developing and executive producing projects across 主播大秀 ONE, TWO, THREE and FOUR in the History, Science and Arts areas.
听
He says: "It's great to be given the chance to continue my work with the indie sector and build on the considerable achievements of Elaine Bedell as the 主播大秀's first Independent Executive.

Jana Bennett, 主播大秀 Director of Television, says: "I am delighted that Krishan will be joining the senior TV management team to build on Elaine Bedell's work with the independent sector.

"He joins at an important time as we prepare for the proposed introduction of the WoCC and will work closely with the senior TV team to ensure that the new commissioning processes are fair, open and transparent for all our suppliers."

Krishan will start in his new role on 15 August and he will join the Television Management Board.
