主播大秀 Southern Counties Radio is pleased to announce its new presenter line-up for Surrey.

Fred Marden moves from The Eagle to the 主播大秀 to present Surrey's new Breakfast Show.

Entertainer Gordon Astley is back on the mid-morning show after a gap of ten years, while talk show host Tommy Boyd will present in the afternoon.

Surrey News Editor Mark Carter will present a new evening news programme for Surrey listeners at Drivetime.

Fred Marden says: "I've enjoyed my time at The Eagle and I'll be leaving many good friends behind but I can't wait to get my teeth into some of Surrey's big news stories.

"We aim to make the Breakfast Show essential listening."

主播大秀 Southern Counties Radio will continue to have a strong presence in Surrey despite the station's headquarters moving back to Brighton.

They will provide more local news and programmes which will originate from its studio centre in Guildford.

Bosses at the 主播大秀 are confident the new line-up will be popular when people get the opportunity to listen to the new shows from Monday 3 April.

Mike Hapgood, 主播大秀 Regional Head of Programmes, believes the changes are good for listeners in Surrey.

"We're increasing our investment in news and programmes. Reports that the 主播大秀 is pulling out of Surrey are completely untrue," he says.

"In fact we'll be producing more local shows from our Guildford studio centre."

The weekend line-up includes a new golden oldies show featuring former pirate radio DJ Dave Cash.

The exclusive sport commentaries of Aldershot and Woking continue on Saturday afternoons.

Managing Editor Neil Pringle says: "I know some listeners have had reservations about the scale of the changes but they'll have to judge us by what they hear - and I think they'll be pleasantly surprised!"
