United States Secretary of State Dr Condoleezza Rice will deliver the inaugural 主播大秀 Today programme/Chatham House lecture on 31 March 2006 in Blackburn.

Foreign Secretary Jack Straw will make a speech on Britain's foreign policy and introduce Dr Rice, who will deliver the inaugural lecture outlining United States policy.
听
Today presenter Jim Naughtie will chair the event.
听
Following the keynote speeches there will be closing remarks from Lord Hurd of Westwell, former Foreign Secretary and President of Chatham House, followed by a question and answer session.
听
Condoleezza Rice will be in Blackburn at the invitation of Jack Straw, who is the town's MP.
听
The Today programme, one of 主播大秀 News' flagship programmes, has joined forces with Chatham House for this, the first in an ambitious series of lectures aimed at promoting debate and discussion on key international issues of the day.
听
Coverage of the lecture will be shown on a range of 主播大秀 outlets across TV, radio and online.
