Content 360 winners announced

The 主播大秀 has announced the four winners of this year's Content 360 international digital commissioning competition that were pitched at MIPTV featuring MILIA, the world's audiovisual and digital content market.

Content 360 is a new initiative to commission innovative content and interactive applications for internet and mobile.

The competition attracted 181 entries from 120 companies and 23 countries.

The 主播大秀 had four categories spanning navigation, mobile rich media content, collaborative web concepts and user-generated content.

Commenting on the awards, Ashley Highfield, Director of 主播大秀 New Media & Technology, said: "Content 360 was a great success in helping the 主播大秀 to engage with the wealth of talent from the international new media industry.

"Congratulations to all those who took part. The winners were those proposals which innovative in a way that can help the 主播大秀 deliver the very best quality services to our audience."

Handle and Spout Ltd, won in the 'Rich Media - Made for Mobile' category for A Beecie C, a service that will allow parents and care-givers to use mobile phones, online and user generated content to teach the phonic alphabet.

186 Media's submission The Write Kit won in the 'Total Mobile Interaction & User Generated Content' category.

The Write Kit is a project that encourages creative writing, and aims to give confidence to students and their teachers to develop the craft skills to make stories, poems and plays, through internet mobile platforms.

Buried Alive from Mint Digital won in the 'Long Tail Content: Navigating the 主播大秀 Archive' category.

Buried Alive encourages users to engage with 主播大秀 archive content by encouraging them to delve into and champion archive content they would like to see screened again.

CMW North's concept Rich Right Click won the 'Web 2.0 Next-Generation Collaborative Web Concepts' category.

Their entry illustrated the potential of a new service, where site users would be able to access additional content simply by using the right mouse button. This will potentially allow users to becoming creators and distributors of content.
