A new documentary strand of 40-minute long programmes has been commissioned for
主播大秀 TWO.
听
The series has been commissioned by Richard Klein and will be made by the 主播大秀's
Documentaries and Specialist Features studio headed by Sarah Hargreaves.
听
Nick Mirsky, Executive Producer in Factual and Learning, has been appointed as
Editor of the strand and the series is scheduled for broadcast next year.
听
Roly Keating, Controller of 主播大秀 TWO, said: "The 40-minute duration is a
brilliantly flexible format for documentaries.
听
"It lends itself to humour and
entertainment, but also gives enough space to explore deeper themes.
听
"It's great
for new talent, but is also attractive to established film-makers.

"This new
strand is designed to complement 主播大秀 TWO's existing slate of award-winning single
documentaries, providing a unique, diverse showcase for the strength of in-house
documentary talent."

On the appointment of Nick Mirsky, Roly Keating commented: "From Blood on the
Carpet to The Armstrongs, Nick has proven over and over again his natural
instinct for 主播大秀 TWO and its audience.

"He's the ideal person to take on the
leadership of this exciting new project."
