1Xtra 主播大秀 will be hosting its fourth Hip Hop Weekend - the station's annual celebration of hip hop music and culture - from 7.00pm on Friday 29 September to 6.00am on Monday 2 October.
听
This year's special will feature some of the biggest names in US and UK hip hop including P Diddy, Lil Jon, Memphis Bleek, Broke'n'English and Ty, as well as showcasing emerging UK talent.
听
1Xtra's own stellar set of hip hop DJs - Semtex, Rodney P & Skitz, MistaJam and Blakey - will be hosting shows throughout Hip Hop Weekend, which will feature live events and interviews focussing on the culture behind the music.
听
Each day at 10.00pm there will be a special two-hour documentary, The Life & Times Of..., with Rodney P taking an in-depth look at three superstar hip hop icons: Busta Rhymes, P Diddy and Jermaine Dupri.
听
1Xtra and 主播大秀 Radio 1's Ras Kwame will be hosting a 100% 主播大秀grown Special, teaming up with Semtex, Rodney P, Blakey and Skitz to take a look at the hip hop scenes in four different parts of the UK.
听
Other highlights will include Semtex exploring San Francisco's hyphy scene, which is currently taking West Coast hip hop by storm.
听
Semtex talks to some of the key players in San Francisco's Bay area: E40, 2wiceberg Slimm, Backside, DJ E Rock, Souls of Mischief and Wolfpack.
听
Also over the weekend 2Pac Remembered commemorates the tenth anniversary of 2Pac's death and Hip Hop Poetry, hosted by Ty, showcases the work of some of the UK's best hip hop poets.
听
And in the second Hip Hop Hall of Fame - following last year's inaugural induction of Chuck D - artist and actor Ice Cube, original member of one of the most controversial crews in hip hop history, NWA, will be honoured by 1Xtra.
听
There will also be guest shows from Lil Jon, DJ Drama and Broke'n'English.
听
1Xtra Live will be treating listeners to an exclusive live recording from the official Roc A Fella Records party with a special performance from Memphis Bleek.
听
1Xtra continues to place importance on new talent and will be asking budding music makers to send in their tracks.
听
Twin B will be selecting some of these tracks to debut on 1st Play, a unique showcase for emerging rappers and beat-makers - please check bbc.co.uk/1xtra for information on how to submit tracks.

10.00pm - midnight The Life & Times Of. P Diddy. They don't come much bigger than Diddy - label owner, producer, artist, style icon, fashion house boss, restauranteur; he has been a beacon for the changing face of hip hop which saw it go from just an art form into a multi-million dollar business. Rodney P finds out the true story behind the success.

Cube breaks down the journey he has had to get to this point, including the heady days with NWA, representing the West Coast, and managing to be a performing artist and Hollywood actor.

10.00pm - midnight The Life & Times Of. Jermaine DuPri. The number one producer of his generation. self-made millionaire by 21. His production credits list is huge and is spearheading the ATL Snap revolution. In between all of this, JD also heads up the Virgin Records Urban Department.

Midnight - 2.00am Hip Hop All Over The World. Celebrating the true global nature of hip hop, DJs from around the world rep their ends, tell us what the scene is like where they are from and play a track from a local artist.
