James Brown, The Godfather of Soul, Jamie T and Young Tiger join the bill

The 主播大秀 today confirmed the latest names to be added to the line-up for the inaugural 主播大秀 Electric Proms.
听
The festival, taking place from 25 to 29 October 2006, is dedicated to creating new moments in music.
听
Each of the artists appearing has been challenged to come up with something innovative for their performance that reflects the ambition of the event.
听
New additions to the line-up are:

Jamie T - Thursday 26 October
Going down a storm recently as Jo Whiley's 'Pet Sound' of the week on Radio 1, rising star Jamie T is an artist on the edge of the big time.
听
Having first been championed by Zane Lowe back in October 2005, and now on the Upfront playlist at Radio 1, this young wordsmith will be performing at 主播大秀 Electric Proms armed with his acoustic bass and with the backing of a full band.
听
Influenced by The Clash, Tom Waits and The Specials, as much as by the garage and drum'n'bass raves he grew up with, this is one emerging artist who'll be high on the nation's radar very soon.
听
Young Tiger and the London is the Place for Me Allstars - Thursday 26 October
Trinidad-born Calypso king Young Tiger will be performing a set of calypso tracks at 主播大秀 Electric Proms, his first performance in decades.
听
Having honed his craft singing and playing all sorts of music in small London clubs back in the Fifties, George 'Young Tiger' Brown will be singing with the London is the Place for Me Allstars as part of a unique collaboration created specially for 主播大秀 Electric Proms.
听
A personal favourite of Damon Albarn, Young Tiger's tracks will tell the tales of London 50 years ago - landlords, dreams of Africa, the Coronation, the new jazz craze, and doing a runner from a Chinese on the Harrow Road. Calypso, pure and simple.
听
James Brown, The Godfather of Soul - Friday 27 October
The Godfather of Soul, James Brown, the man credited with inventing funk, will be performing a unique set at 主播大秀 Electric Proms.
听
Inspired by his impromptu piano performances in hotel lobbies, his performance will feature collaborations with special guest artists (to be announced), and will see the soul legend performing swinging soul and jazz-flavoured standards accompanied by piano.
听
He will also perform some of his classic tracks with full support from his band.
听
The evening will honour Mr Brown's outstanding career and promises to be an electrifying night.
听
Other acts so far confirmed are The Good, The Bad and The Queen - the new project from Damon Albarn with Paul Simonon, Tony Allen and Simon Tong; plus legendary rockers The Who who will give a one-off premiere of their rock opera Wire & Glass.
听
Guillemots will also be staging a unique performance with the 主播大秀 Concert Orchestra as they embrace the opportunity to create a unique musical collaboration.

There will be a very restricted number of reduced price tickets available the week before the event. People can register their contact details online and they will be randomly selected and contacted the day before each main stage performance and invited to collect their tickets from the Roundhouse Box Office on performance nights.
