Julian Worricker to join RadioÌý4's consumer programme You And
Yours

Julian Worricker is to join Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio 4's You And Yours, Britain's only daily national consumer radio programme, this autumn.

Worricker will line-up with Winifred Robinson and Peter White in the first major change to the presentation team in a decade.
Ìý
Each will in turn present an edition of You And Yours throughout the week. The move to single presentation will give the programme a stronger and clearer identity.
Ìý
You And Yours will continue to champion consumer concerns – investigating the stories behind the headlines and launching social awareness campaigns.
Ìý
The programme will become less studio-based, broadcasting from outside locations more regularly.

You And Yours was launched in 1970 and now regularly attracts a weekly audience in excess of 3 million.

In recent years it has produced many groundbreaking reports which have won praise from MPs, Ministers, police and regulatory authorities.
Ìý
Among the highlights have been investigations into credit card fraud, identity theft, dishonest TV quiz and shopping channels, fraudulent compensation claims firms and the growing power of the supermarkets.
Ìý
Awareness campaigns on the cost of social care, dementia and ME have also been acclaimed.

Julian Worricker said: "To be moving to Radio 4 after it has been named Station of the Year at this year's Sony Awards is very exciting, and I'm delighted to be joining the team of such an important and well established programme as You And Yours."

Until September 2007 Julian Worricker presented Worricker On Sunday on Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio 5 Live, after which he left to travel around the world.

Before that he presented various shows on Radio 5 Live including Five Live Breakfast and the Drive programme. Ìý
Since returning from his travels, Julian has been presenting on Ö÷²¥´óÐã News.

You And Yours is broadcast from Monday to Friday from midday to 1pm on Radio 4. Ìý
Veteran journalist John Waite will no longer present regular editions of You And Yours, but will still appear on the programme as presenter of Radio 4's award-winning investigative series Face The Facts.
Ìý
Radio 4 has commissioned an extra six editions of the strand in 2009/10 and they will continue to be broadcast within You And Yours.
Ìý
Waite will also appear to provide regular updates on Face The Facts stories – one of which won a Foreign Press Association award last year.
Ìý
Liz Barclay and Sheila McClennon will continue to have a presence on other parts of the network.
