With over 116,500 entries, CÖ÷²¥´óÐã Mash Up is a hit!

Brand new to the CÖ÷²¥´óÐã website, CÖ÷²¥´óÐã Mash Up is an exciting new tool for children to create their very own moving CÖ÷²¥´óÐã logo set to music. Launched on air last month, the website has already attracted over 116,500 entries from children across the country.

Children can mix, match and mash the CÖ÷²¥´óÐã logo to create a new design which they feel best reflects the channel.

The children are given four tiles which spell out CÖ÷²¥´óÐã. They can then choose from several different backgrounds, can make the letters spin, fly, jump, run or bounce, change their size, add different textures and even use animated characters.

When they’ve finished mashing up the logo they can play it back, and share their funky new creation with their friends.

CÖ÷²¥´óÐã Mash Up will be live on the CÖ÷²¥´óÐã website all year round. At key times during the year some children will be able to see their creations on TV.

During Easter, summer, Halloween, and Christmas, children will be invited to send in creations they are especially proud of, and 10 of these will be selected at random for use on air.

The idea for this came from Ö÷²¥´óÐã Children's Marketing and the mash-up tool was developed over the past year in a collaboration between Children's Marketing and Interactive teams, working with external agency Illumina Digital.

The online tool encourages children to be imaginative and creative with their designs.

Kelly Turner, Head of Marketing, Ö÷²¥´óÐã Children's, says: "We know that children love making stuff and passing it on to their mates, and this is a fun new tool for them to do just that. The reaction from children already to the CÖ÷²¥´óÐã Mash Up tool has been fantastic!"
