Janet Lee appointed editor of The Culture Show

Janet Lee has been appointed the new editor of The Culture Show, charged with running the Ö÷²¥´óÐã Two magazine-style arts show across production bases in both London and Glasgow.

Janet is currently the editor of Ö÷²¥´óÐã One's flagship arts and culture strand, Imagine, presented by Alan Yentob.

Previously Janet was commissioning editor for arts at Channel 4, and prior to that has worked on arts and history output ranging from the Late Show to series producer on the History Of Britain.

Janet will take over from previous incumbent Edward Morgan, who announced he was stepping down from The Culture Show in order to take up a post as Head of the College of Production at The Ö÷²¥´óÐã Academy.

Commenting on the appointment, Karen O'Connor, Head of London Factual, commented: "I'm delighted Janet Lee is to be the new editor of The Culture Show. She brings great expertise and a fantastic contacts book to this role, which will help The Culture Show to further flourish. I'd also like to thank Eddie Morgan for his vibrant creative leadership over the last five years."

Janet Lee added: "I'm really looking forward to taking on The Culture Show, it's a wonderful opportunity to bring the best of the arts to Ö÷²¥´óÐã Two's audience."

The Culture Show is broadcast on Thursday nights at 7.00pm during its run. The series was recently expanded to 60 minutes and is now filmed on location at different cultural events across the country.

The new series of The Culture Show starts on 22 October presented by Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo from The London Film Festival, with presenters including Michael Palin, David Morrissey, Toby Young and Miranda Sawyer.
