Ö÷²¥´óÐã

Mark Clemmit ('Clem') is to front a new Monday night Football League show that will give fans across the North East and Cumbria unparalleled access to their teams.

Late Kick Off will feature in-depth coverage behind-the-scenes, the teams, players, managers and backroom stories of all five Football League teams across the region from Newcastle United to Darlington.

It will include regular news and views for Sunderland fans too.

The show, which starts on 18 January 2010 on Ö÷²¥´óÐã One North East and Cumbria at 11.35pm, will get right to the heart of local football with a mix of discussion, opinion and interviews.

More than just a highlights programme, it promises to get to grips with the issues fans want to talk about, as well as giving some insightful reports both on and off the pitch.

Clem, a well known face on Ö÷²¥´óÐã One's The Football League Show, and a regular presenter on Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio 5 Live, will bring his own sporting expertise and knowledge to the programme.

He'll be joined on the Late Kick Off sofa every week by former England and Middlesbrough star Danny Mills.

Clem will also be joined each week by different guests from the region to talk about the weekend's biggest games.

And there will be regular features such as Archive Top Five – a regular themed trawl through the region's football archive – plus some fun training ground challenges to put the teams through their paces.

North East football legend Steve Stone will join Mark and Danny for the first programme, which will also feature a fans' eye view of the trials and tribulations of supporting bottom-of-the-league Darlington as well as highlights from the top of the Championship clash at St James' Park against West Brom.

Fans won't have to miss a thing as the programmes will also be on Ö÷²¥´óÐã iPlayer.

Late Kick Off complements coverage of the Football League – which returned to the Ö÷²¥´óÐã in August for the first time since 1988 – building on the success of the network highlights programme, The Football League Show, along with live coverage of two League Cup semi-finals and the League Cup final.

Along with action from the Premier League on Match Of The Day and Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio 5 Live, the Ö÷²¥´óÐã provides sports fans with access to all the goals and all the action, the length and breadth of the country.
