New schedule for Radio Northampton

Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio Northampton is making some changes to the station's programme schedules.

From 31 January, Helen Blaby will be the new voice of the Sunday 9.00am to midday programme. Helen is Northamptonshire to the core, having been born in the county and lived most of her life here.

She's joining Radio Northampton from Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio 5 Live, where she has brought up-to-the minute morning travel news to hundreds of thousands of people over the past 13 years.

Helen has already been announced as the new presenter of Radio Northampton's weekday Drivetime programme, covering Annabel Amos's maternity leave.

The much-loved Green Welly Show (broadcast on Sundays between 12noon and 2.00pm) gets a revamp, with Paul Ennever and Johnnie Amos taking gardening questions, as well as capturing life in the county's countryside.

From Monday 1 February, Joe Pignatiello asks the questions the county wants answered and has all the latest news, weather, travel and sport information for Northamptonshire between 6.00 and 9.00am.

Joe is followed by Bernie Keith with the best music and entertainment programme on radio. Between 9.00am and midday Bernie will have more music and more listeners having more laughs.

Bernie is followed by Stuart Linnell at midday, making it his mission to solve consumer's problems.

Louise Dow, Managing Editor, Radio Northampton says: "Our unique and outstanding range of programmes on Radio Northampton means there's something for everyone whatever time of day they listen. Our presenters stand out because they're resolutely local, hold key figures in our communities to account, or cheer up our listeners' days."

Radio Northampton broadcasts on 104.2 and 103.6 FM and online via the Ö÷²¥´óÐã iPlayer.
