Kate Garraway and Richard Arnold have danced their way into the final of Let's Dance For Sport Relief, following their lively performance in the second show of the series on Ö÷²¥´óÐã One.

Presenters Claudia Winkleman and Steve Jones announced that the viewers had chosen Kate Garraway and Richard Arnold as their favourite – the third act to win a place in the final on Saturday 13 March – after the GMTV duo performed an energetic tribute to Born To Hand Jive from Grease.

On hearing they were through to the final, Kate Garraway said: "Does this mean I've done well in dance? That's not meant to be. Has the world gone mad?"

Richard Arnold said: "The atmosphere is fantastic. When you mention you're on this show everyone just smiles out loud. It's fantastic to be a part of."

Runners-up Debra Stephenson and Sam and Mark then faced the three panellists who decided which act would win the fourth place in the final after their performances, of Smooth Criminal and Wake Me Up Before You Go Go respectively.

Miranda Hart voted for Debra Stephenson, Paddy McGuninness voted for Sam and Mark, leaving Kelly Brook with the deciding vote for Debra Stephenson, who becomes the fourth act through to the final.

Miranda Hart said: "I'm not going to lie to you Kate, post-Strictly, I was nervous. I think the nation had their hearts in their mouth going 'please'... it turns out you can dance.

"So clearly it was Anton holding you back, you need Sir Arnold at all times. You were brilliant. It was amazing!"

Paddy McGuinness said: "Forget Strictly, you were absolutely fantastic. I mean it, you were brilliant!

"And Richard, you came out there and you were like a chubby Shakin' Stevens and I like that. Let me tell you, for me, that was the best performance of the night. A 10!"

Kelly Brook said: "I'm in shock Kate. We've got dance history so I know your struggles but I have to say that blew me away, I was not expecting that. Are my eyes deceiving me? Did you actually just do that? Amazing!"

Sam (Sam and Mark) said: "It's been absolutely amazing, we've had a cracking week. Thank you to anybody who picked up the phone because it's all for a cracking cause."

Debra Stephenson said: "Does it mean I have to do it again?"

Viewers' favourite Kate Garraway and Richard Arnold then closed the show with one more rendition of Born To Hand Jive.

Tonight's show was the second of three heats and saw performances from Debra Stephenson (Smooth Criminal, Michael Jackson), Sam and Mark (Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, Wham!), Shappi Khorsandi (Mickey, Toni Basil) , Kate Garraway and Richard Arnold (Born To Hand Jive, Sha-Na-Na – Grease), The Weather Girls, Lara Lewington, Clare Nasir, Becky Mantin, and Michael Fish, (It's Raining Men, The Weather Girls), The Boxers, Carl Froch, Johnny Nelson, Tony Jeffries and Duke McKenzie (Bad Guys, Paul Williams – Bugsy).

There was also music from Gabriella Cilmi singing On A Mission and the cast of Priscilla – Queen Of The Desert: The Musical with Colour My World.

Next week, six more celebrity contestants will take to the floor in the last of the three heats, in a bid to win a place in the final of Let's Dance For Sport Relief.

Finalists from show one are Rufus Hound and Katy Brand.
