Ö÷²¥´óÐã Essex career advice in Basildon

Ö÷²¥´óÐã Essex's Dave Monk is broadcasting a special edition of his Mid-Morning programme on Thursday 13 May, between 9am and 12pm, at Basildon Public Library.

The special outside broadcast aims to offer career advice and help to people who have recently been made redundant, are long-term unemployed or want to get on to the career ladder for the first time.

As part of the careers-dedicated programme, Dave is speaking live on air to various career, employment and financial experts who will provide advice on a range of employment issues.

Visitors to the Basildon Public Library will also be able to receive on-the-spot advice and assistance from experts, including an entrepreneurial counsellor, representatives from Adult Community Learning, a HR administrator, a career coach, a financial planner, a benefits officer, and many others – all offering free, impartial advice on how to get back into work.

Dave says: "Redundancy is an incredibly difficult situation to deal with. It affects everything in your life: from your wallet, obviously, to your relationships and even your health."

He continues: "I want to help people in Essex become aware of the support network out there, to help them where we can and to get them a new job as quickly as possible."

The event takes place on 13 May, between 9am and 12pm, at the Basildon Public Library, St Martin's Square, Basildon.

Ö÷²¥´óÐã Essex broadcasts on 95.5 & 103.5FM, DAB Digital Radio and online via the Ö÷²¥´óÐã iPlayer.
