Christian O'Connell returns to Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio 5 Live to take over Richard Bacon's afternoon show for a week from Monday 6 September.

No stranger to 5 Live, having previously hosted Fighting Talk and the Christian O'Connell Solution, Christian will have all the latest news, sport and entertainment stories, plus regular features such as Tuesday's TV Review. Christian will also be joined by special guests throughout the week, including food writer and broadcaster Nigella Lawson and comedian Alexei Sayle.

Christian said: "Richard Bacon always makes interesting and entertaining radio so to cover his show is a real thrill and pleasure. Earlier this year I covered Danny Baker's, so it's a bit of a comedown to Richard's – but I'll do it, as a nasty tax bill has just come in!"

Christian will also continue to present his Breakfast Show on Absolute Radio while he is on 5 Live.
