Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio 5 Live Sports Extra has a bumper schedule of American sporting action from 20 to 28 October, including baseball's iconic World Series and in American football, a NFL double bill, including the annual fixture from Wembley.

Kicking off on Thursday 20 October, there will be extensive coverage of the annual finale of the Major League Baseball season, the 2011 World Series.

5 Live Sports Extra has live commentary of every match between the 2010 finalists, the Texas Rangers, and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Commentator Simon Brotherton is joined by former GB catcher and American sports writer Josh Chetwynd, as the teams battle it out over a seven-match play-off with the first to win four matches declared the MLB World Series Champions.

On Sunday 23 October 5 Live Sports Extra has an NFL regular season double bill. From 5.45pm there's commentary from Darren Fletcher and Greg Brady of the fifth annual NFL match at Wembley Stadium, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Chicago Bears in an NFC clash.

Then at 9.00pm Nat Coombs and former NFL number one draft pick and New York Jet Johnnie Mitchell present full coverage from the Metrodrome in Minneapolis as the defending Super Bowl champions, the Green Bay Packers, visit their NFC North rivals the Minnesota Vikings.

In addition to the commentaries on 5 Live Sports Extra, Colin Murray keeps order in a Fighting Talk American themed special on Radio 5 Live at 11am on Saturday 22 October. Guests including Canadian sports broadcaster Greg Brady, journalist and broadcaster Des Kelly, journalist and FT regular Will Buckley and comedian J J Whitehead go head-to-head competing for points with their sporting punditry.
